El Poco Cantina began with a simple idea: bring the soul of Mexican birria taqueria culture to Manila without compromising quality or community. Founded in 2019 by Richard Ken "Tots" Ramirez, the cantina started as a neighborhood taqueria near DLSU-Taft Avenue.

Success wasn't linear — but the right mindset, determination, and an unshakeable belief in affordable, quality food pushed the brand forward. Today, El Poco Cantina holds the honor of being among the Michelin Selected restaurants in the Michelin Guide Philippines 2026 — the first of its kind in the country.
